Web Standards Compliant Design
Us geeks like to call it "Web 2.0" because it is second generation design techniques using <div> tags for web site layouts instead of table based design. Tables were designed to be used for tabular data but in the early stages of the web (before CSS technology came into it's fruition) tables were the only way to control the layout of a graphic rich website. The use of tables requires more HTML code than the use of modern <div> tags and does not separate content from presentation the way the W3C suggests. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) suggests it - we try to follow those suggestions.
No Pre-Built Template Layouts
There are a lot of pre-built templates you can buy on the Internet for very low prices and there are many "web developers" who use them to sell as their own "web design." -
